SIMPL project moves to new home
The SIMPL project, which aims to bring QNX style send/receive/reply messaging to Embedded Linux based systems, now has a SourceForge presence. When linked against the SIMPL library, a Linux process can do QNX style messaging to other local Linux processes, or to nonlocal Linux processes over a TCP/IP network.

NSF awards $53 million supercomputing bid
The National Science Foundation has awarded contracts worth $53 million to build a grid that connects supercomputer clusters across the country into a single large computing resource called the Distributed Terascale Facility. A big winner will be IBM, who will build four Linux supercomputer clusters for the program.
