SyncML releases preliminary universal data sync spec -- SyncML is a protocol for universal data synchronization between embedded and non-embedded devices across multiple networks, platforms and devices. story

Open source S/W lets mobile devices access servers via WAP/WML -- PiranhaWAP facilitates the display of server status (or other) information on WAP/WML-enabled embedded devices. story

PalmPalm to support LinkUp L7200 development board -- LinkUp announced that its L7200 system-on-chip development board will be supported by PalmPalm's Tynux Embedded Linux OS. story

Bluepoint outlines embedded Linux market strategy -- Bluepoint held a new product strategy conference in Beijing and has made their presentation regarding the emerging market for Embedded Linux in Information Appliances available online (a Powerpoint file). story

Open source WML browser brings WAP to Embedded Linux -- WML is the language used in WAP as a markup language for devices with tight resource constraints including, but not limited to, memory, bandwidth, and screen size.
