Embedded Linux powers intelligent online video camera -- Axis Communications has introduced a new intelligent Network Camera that has a 100 MHz RISC microprocessor and runs embedded Linux. The device can serve as an intelligent tool for remote monitoring of live video via either an intranet or the Internet. story

CodeWarrior to Attack Embedded Linux Market -- Software Development Times reports that Metrowerks is developing a version of its CodeWarrior integrated development environment (IDE) for Embedded Linux, and that the company has unveiled its plan to integrate CodeWarror with the Embedded Linux offerings of Lineo, LynuxWorks, and MontaVista Software. story

Embedded Linux based set-top system adds home automation -- Kiwi-Classifieds Ltd. is adding home automation capabilities to their Linux-based set-top Internet appliance, resulting in an Internet-enabled Home Automation System. story

IBM database software runs on Embedded Linux devices -- IBM's DB2 Everyplace, a compact relational database, supports four new platforms including Windows CE, EPOC, Neutrino, and Embedded Linux. It also supports Bluetooth and IR standards, enabling true wireless synchronization. story

PalmPalm unveils Japan, China, Euro expansion roadmap -- Korean embedded Linux provider PalmPalm has announced its Japan facility, as well as plans to set up shop in China and Europe. story

New Bayonne web site launched -- the Bayonne telephony project has totally revamped its website. The updated site does a better job explaining what Bayonne is, what resources are available for it, and how it can be used to deliver effective telephony solutions. story

RTLinux gains Matlab, Simulink, & RealTime Workshop support -- With SimulinkRT, engineers and scientists can now develop real-time Linux based control applications by drawing Simulink diagrams -- without any programming, and with up to 50kHz data acquisition rates on standard PCs. story

Nanozilla -- libraries to run Mozilla on Nano-X -- Nanozilla is a set of libraries for Mozilla (the browser) that allow it to be used along with a Nano-X server (instead of X11). It can be run on X11, svgalib, or the Linux framebuffer driver. story

Linux in a Box -- an "open source" Linux SBC -- the LIAB website contains complete, detailed information and design documentation for a 100 x 160 mm i386EX based single-board computer board. The design documentation is made available under GPL-like license terms. story
