Los Angeles, CA -- (press release) -- Bluepoint Linux Software presented its strategy for embedded Linux and Information Appliance product development at its Year 2000 New Product Release Conference, held last week in the Friendship Hotel in Beijing. Mr. Yu Deng, president of Bluepoint, spoke about Bluepoint Embedded Linux and its applications in the Information Appliance market. His presentation can be downloaded here. Mr. Yongming Wei, founder of the MiniGUI free software project and the director of the Bluepoint Beijing Research and Development Center, spoke about MiniGUI, Bluepoint's Embedded Windows Technology. Mr. Yonghong Pan, Bluepoint's vice president of marketing, introduced Bluepoint market strategy and partnership program. Guest speakers from Intel, Hangwang, and Zhengpu also spoke at the conference which was attended by Bluepoint's partners, clients, news media.

Bluepoint Linux Software is the developer of Bluepoint, which it calls "the first 'true Chinese' Linux operating system", and is a leading provider of Linux platform technology and embedded Linux system solutions in the Chinese market. The company is currently developing embedded a Linux-based Intelligent Housing system and embedded systems to be used in set top box, web TV, and thin client applications.
