Bologna, Italy-based TBE has announced a Linux-based panel PC aimed at HMI (human-machine interface) applications. Available with an integrated 6.4-inch touchscreen display or as a processor module, the GNU-Linux-based Terminale Grafico ARM-Linux is based on a 200MHz Cirrus Logic EP9315 SoC.

TBE is positioning the 7.7 x 5.1 x 2.2-inch Terminale Grafico arm-Linux as a touchscreen system for automation control, a market where the company is particularly strong in the textile industry, it says. The 920T-based core and MMU (memory management unit) are supported with 64MB SDRAM and 32MB NOR flash, and the system is equipped with one fast Ethernet port, three USB ports, three UART ports and a JTAG test access port.

The hardware specifications for the Terminale Grafico arm-Linux are as follows:

Processor -- Cirrus Logic EP9315 with a 200MHz ARM920T core and an MMU
Memory -- 64MB SDRAM, 32MB NOR flash, expandable via optional USB key
Display -- 6.4-inch LCD TFT VGA (640x480); optional 7.4-inch TFT WVGA (800x480) display
Networking -- 1 x 10/100 Ethernet
USB -- 3 x Host 2.0 ports (full speed)
Other I/O -- 3 x 16550-compatible UART ports; 1 x JTAG IEEE 1149.1 debug/test access port
Optional Communications -- USB-based WiFi receiver; GPRS modem
Power -- 24V DC; 0.5 A
Dimensions -- 7.7 x 5.1 x 2.2 inches (196 x 130 x 56 mm)
