Platform Contents

Devicescape Universal Wireless Platform 2.0 includes the following:
  • A wireless subsystem that includes the Wireless AP (access point) Module, Wireless Client Module and Client Bridge Module; the Datapath Module which permits hardware portability by abstracting the hardware driver interface; and wireless chipset drivers for leading vendors, including Atheros, Broadcom and Conexant.

  • An embedded Linux distribution with support for key CPU architectures used in wireless devices (XScale/ARM, MIPS and IA-32).

  • Devicescape Studio, a rich graphical cross-development environment based on Eclipse 3.0 that is especially created for embedded software development and debugging.

  • Wireless development utilities, including a virtual client simulator, IEEE 802.11 frame generator, IEEE 802.11 protocol analyzer, wireless traffic sniffer, TKIP countermeasures tester and an EMI radio test mode controller.
